If you’re reading this you’re probably a conservative. If not, good for you for straying away from the hive for a minute or two.
As a conservative you would naturally want to make economic choices that promote, or at least don’t actively discourage, conservative values. Well, a group called The 1792 Exchange can help you, us, do that.
It has researched the issue and come up with a list of woke companies that go out of their way to champion the hard left. These companies back BLM, Planned Parenthood, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and numerous other organizations that loathe conservatives and America. Let’s look at the list, shall we?
Banks: “Bank of America vets its vendors based on their commitment to LGBTQ views, and it has ceased lending with some gun manufacturers.” They are “the biggest supporters of the radical environmental, social, and governance (ESG) movement. ESG is a kind of social credit scoring model that aims to fundamentally transform the global economy so that it’s more in line with the United Nations’ left-wing Sustainable Development Goals.” Ouch. So, if you’re a BOA customer and you can move your money, do it. Why do business with the anti-American Bank of America?
Transportation: “Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines…American Airlines publicly fought against the Florida Parental Rights in Education Act — commonly and falsely labeled the ‘Don’t Say Gay Bill’ by liberals. The legislation prevents public schools from teaching young children, kindergarten through third grade, about topics related to sex and gender identity.” Why is it that woke companies that use the word “America” or “American” do much to injure this country? A bit of false advertising, that.
“Southwest Airlines fought against state laws that sought to enhance election integrity by limiting questionable practices like mail-in balloting.” Naughty, naughty.
Now, don’t get me wrong. These firms have every right to support any perv communist group they choose. But consumers also have the right to make them pay a price for that support. Why subsidize companies who work against our values?
Retail: “Target has removed books from its stores at the request of liberal activists, and it has fought against numerous legislative proposals backed by conservative lawmakers, including election integrity legislation in Georgia.”
Food: Of course, “Ben & Jerry’s… The famous Vermont-based ice cream company has promoted ‘Defund the Police’ campaigns, opposed legislation meant to limit election fraud, said that the criminal justice system ‘must be dismantled,’ and openly advocated for pro-abortion policies, among many other actions.” The list of woke firms in all these categories is a lot longer than we have room to note in this article.
And I’ve got to admit that there are a bunch of them here that I patronize on a regular basis. So I’ve got my work cut out for me in trying to put my money where my words are. Perhaps the same goes for you. Actually, I recently dropped Dollar Shave Club, supports BLM, for Jeremy’s Razors. It’s a start. Now, if I can just avoid Cherry Garcia…
