In the second in our series on misconceptions about the Democrat Party, we look at one specific example of how the Dems have become total creatures of Washington and use the federal government to fund and take advantage of the middle class. The case in point is the massive expansion of the IRS under the Biden administration.

This is, of course, contrary to the stated mission of the Democrats. They claim to the party of the working class, middle class, and working families. The reality could not be farther afield.

We look to a recent interview with William Henck, a former Internal Revenue Service attorney who was fired from the IRS after making claims of official malfeasance. Hauck said the IRS will soon target middle-income Americans with new audits under the Inflation Reduction Act. That could mean you and your family. Henck worked at the IRS for 30 years. He left in 2017.

He asserts that Americans with an annual income of less than $75,000 would be subject to nearly 711,000 new audits. By comparison, people earning more than $500,000 will receive about 95,000 additional audits. Protect the rich and fund the poor is their mantra.

The Democrats and the Biden administration don’t understand that the middle class is the backbone of the nation. Small business provides jobs and taxes. To slash at it with the IRS is an intentional effort to weaken the economy. Why? Because a poor people are easier to politically control.

Hauck: “The idea that they’re going to open things up and go after these big billionaires and large corporations is quite frankly bulls–t,” Henck told press in an interview. “It’s not going to happen. They’re going to give themselves bonuses and promotions and really nice conferences.

“The big corporations and the billionaires are probably sitting back laughing right now,” he continued. “There will be considerable incentive to basically to shake down taxpayers, and the advantage the IRS has is they have basically unlimited resources and no accountability, whereas a taxpayer has to weigh the cost of accountants, tax lawyers — fighting something in tax court,” Henck told media.

“If you own a roofing company, you better count on getting audited because that’s what they’re going to be doing,” he continued. “They’re going to be going after your car dealerships, roofing companies.”

Henck said during his tenure at the IRS, he witnessed agents targeting elderly taxpayers, many of whom were World War II vets, because they could easily be coerced into settlements.

“I protested both internally and externally, but I was ignored,” he told reporters. “In their last days on Earth, these taxpayers were being bullied by the same government they had fought for as young men and no one cared. This is the agency that is going to double in size.”

Party of the middle class indeed. This is a political party that seeks more government power at the expense of your wallet and your freedom. Regardless of their posturing, Democrats don’t work for the middle class. They serve other masters.
