You’ve seen the emails in your in-box while you are sitting there minding your own business and being a productive citizen of society. It’s usually an email from someone in academia, government or a non-profit group and they are willingly telling you what their pronouns are, unsolicited.
I DON’T CARE TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR GENDER OR YOUR SEX LIFE!
Seriously.
When did this information become an okay thing to include in your email signature? It’s inappropriate. I don’t care about your genitalia or non-genitalia.
I don’t care if you are a he or she or a him or her or a they or xe or ze or anything else.
The only thing I care to hear about you in your email signature is your name, title and phone number. Nothing else. Also, just to let you know for future reference – I also don’t want to know if you are single or married or if you like cheeseburgers.
And I find it funny that the people telling me what their pronouns are also seem to be the same ones whose emails are tagged as “external” which means these cowards are still sitting at home doing their work more than two years after the pandemic started instead of going back to their office.
