I recently wrote about loser politicians Hillary Clinton and Stacey Abrams who need to go away.
You can add Texas gubernatorial candidate democrat Beto O’Rourke to the list.
He lost the Texas Senate race to Ted Cruz in 2018 after spending $60 million on the campaign, he failed as a presidential candidate in 2020 and now the loser is taking on incumbent republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott in the 2022 Texas gubernatorial election.
Always desperate for attention, gun-grabbing nut job O’Rourke showed up at Governor Abbott’s press conference on Wednesday.
Abbott was in Uvalde at the SSGT Willie de Leon Civic Center to talk about the school shooting that happened at the Robb Elementary School.
It was an update on the information about the tragedy and Abbott was flanked by many Texas officials on stage including Senator Ted Cruz, the mayor of Uvalde, the Superintendent of the School, Senator John Cornyn, the Texas Dept. of Public Safety Director, the Uvalde Police Chief and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick.
O’Rourke appeared at the front near the stage and yelled at Governor Abbott.
In a political stunt, Beto shouted “The time to stop the next shooting is right now and you are doing nothing.”
The mayor of Uvalde shot back at O’Rourke and said he was out of line and “I can’t believe you are a sick son of a b*tch and would come here to make a political issue” and then Beto was escorted out of the building after continuing his tirade.
Cruz, who was standing behind Abbott, was shaking his head at O’Rourke the whole time, surprised (but not really) that O’Rouke was so classless.
In the video, Cruz tells Beto to sit down and says what sounds like “Sit down and don’t play this stuff.”
Back during the time that Beto ran for the presidency, he was very outspoken for gun control and said during a presidential debate “Hell yes, we are taking your guns” so his antics and grandstanding during Tuesday’s press conference weren’t too surprising.
And I’m sure sometime soon, Beto will be sending out emails to fundraise off his planned publicity stunt to get press attention and money.
