Yes, you read the headline right.
If you are a government that is actively hindering the evacuation of Americans and Afghan allies from a terrorist country, then you are holding them hostage.
The ineptness and coldheartedness that is the State Department under Biden has been documented by radio talk show host Glenn Beck and others trying to rescue people since the Afghanistan FUBAR began.
While Biden pretty much airlifted out any Afghan who made it into the airport at the time of our withdrawal, the Biden folks didn’t have as much concern about Americans stuck there and the Afghan allies who helped us over the years.
Looks like not much has changed.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the volunteer group Task Force Argo and other rescue groups have not been able to arrange safe passage for the people they are trying to rescue – Afghans including U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, former U.S. government workers and others who worked on U.S. funded projects (and their families).
The Obama Biden Harris administration won’t approve the passenger manifests or clear departures for the volunteer groups so there are planes sitting empty that could be used to rescue people.
Having to keep these people in hiding for so long, the volunteer groups are running out of money to hold these people in their safe houses and they are being forced to leave.
It’s been two months since we left Afghanistan.
TWO MONTHS.
And Biden still can’t get his sh*t together.
The State Department says they lack personnel on the ground to adequately vet the lists from the volunteer groups.
A spokesperson from the State Department told The Daily Caller “Without personnel on the ground to ensure the fidelity of the intended manifests, there is no ability to determine whether the passengers aboard the plane would be eligible for relocation or resettlement in the United States.”
Funny how they didn’t care anything about “vetting” anyone when they needed to shove people on planes in order to tell the media that they evacuated “thousands” of people.
