In need of a doctor, airline pilot, veterinarian or contractor for your house? Stay as far away from Oregon as you can.
The anti-genius leftists in Oregon have decided that their high school seniors don’t have to graduate with a proficiency [1] in reading, writing or math before they graduate.
They think that math, reading and writing is just too hard for the students to learn. An unfair challenge for the students who don’t test well. So they’re getting rid of the standards to graduate.
SOUNDS LIKE A FANTASTIC IDEA, right?
For a third world country.
Democrat Oregon Governor Kate Brown signed the ridiculous Senate bill 744 on July 14th and the fake news media hid the event from the public and the governor didn’t hold a signing ceremony or issue a press release about it.
Gee, I wonder why.
This bill needs to be named “Every child left behind” because that’s what they’ll be ending up with.
But hey, at least we’ll have “equitable” graduation standards.
Everyone’s education will suck equally when they get out of high school.
The group Foundations for a Better Oregon made an absurd statement about the bill when they said that it’s intended to “truly reflect what every student needs to thrive in the 21st century.
These people are totally insane.
