There are many reasons to leave the UN, evict the organization from New York, and subsequently turn the place into Trump Tower II. But two incidents, one Tuesday, illustrate why this needs to be done post haste.
FNC: “In April, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas Greenfield described the Constitution as a white supremacist document, at a conference hosted by Harlem, N.Y.,-based civil rights activist and MSNBC host Al Sharpton.
‘I have seen for myself how the original sin of slavery weaved white supremacy into our founding documents and principles,’ Thomas Greenfield said during the virtual address.
On Tuesday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken invited the United Nations to investigate ‘the scourge of racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia in the United States – two months after posting a video calling on Americans to ‘face the realities of racism and hatred at home’ before trying to be a ‘credible force for human rights’ internationally.”
So you’re clear on this. Our UN Ambassador thinks the Constitution she serves under, not to mention the Declaration of Independence, is primarily a white supremacist document. She doesn’t notice the freedoms guaranteed by the documents, nor the limitations on government inherent in those freedoms, nor the fight to redeem the promise of that document that left 600,000 Americans dead in the Civil War. Somehow this escaped her notice.
Then our own Secretary of State thinks an august body like the UN, who puts on its human rights committee nations like Cuba, Syria, and Iran, should investigate the United States for racism. Yup, our Secretary of State said this. Now we comprehend the Biden administration is full of people who hate this country. But politically barbaric regimes investigating us for human rights abuses is even far for them.
Given the tool, the UN, to conduct this kangaroo court is so readily available, apparently the myriad America haters in the Biden administration cannot resist the temptation. So, let’s help them with that. When, pray, a Republican Congress takes office in January of 2023 it should immediately push legislation that mandates we leave the UN and throw them out of Gotham. It will be vetoed. Fine. Let’s run on that in 2024, using the above incidents as two of many examples of why membership in the UN is not in the American interest.
Then, pray, when a Republican president takes office in January 2025, that individual should fast track the stalled legislation for their signature. After the UN relocates, without American cash, to some garden spot like Lagos or Pyongyang, it should wither on the vine. At that point we turn NATO into a diplomatic organization and invite only free nations to join. You’d probably get about 50 members. Then that organization can locate in the US. Even get a new building. But to keep them honest, let’s put it in Oklahoma.
