Looking for a family-friendly vacation? Disney Theme Parks is probably the last place you want to go.
The woke Disney folks have decided to change the “dress code” of their cast members. And it’s probably not anything that you want your six-year-old exposed to unless you are okay with a hairy male Cinderella with tattoos.
It’s bad enough that Disney soaks you for thousands of dollars for a vacation with your family of four. They are now pushing their leftist views on their customers.
In order to be more “inclusive,” Disney cast members get to have “gender-inclusive hairstyles,” they can wear tattoos and they can be any character they want to be.
Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro said, “We want our cast members – and future cast members – to feel a sense of belonging at work. That means cultivating an environment where all people feel welcomed and appreciated for their unique life experiences, perspectives and cultures.”
References to gender have been removed from Disney’s Employee Dress Code Handbook on how cast members are supposed to dress at work.
Although the handbook doesn’t reference permission for staff to wear a costume they want of the opposite gender, it also doesn’t restrict it from happening.
And it’s not like that it was overlooked. The handbook is a 20-page oppressive dictate of how Disney staff is allowed and not allowed to dress, with requirements for eyewear, headwear, name tags, pins, facial hair, nails, undergarments, hair color, hair accessory, hair length, footwear, jewelry, makeup, PPE and personal hygiene.
If I was thinking about working there and read the handbook, I would run. I would run fast.
So what it boils down to is that females don’t have to wear female costumes and males don’t have to wear male costumes according to D’Amaro who said in his statement, “Our new approach provides greater flexibility with respects to forms of personal expression surrounding gender-inclusive hairstyles, jewelry, nail styles and costume choices and allowing appropriate visible tattoos.”
Oh, and there’s one more thing that I noticed in the handbook that the leftist Disney company requires for all of the cast members in the parks.
