The allegations against liberal New York Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo keep piling up. Whether they be over falsifying virus numbers, intimidating journos, or sexual harassment, the governor is a political dead man walking.
The latest in the litany is just plain odd, but goes to show the inherent grace and sense of appropriate behavior that Cuomo is known for. It also reveals the extent to which he thought he could get away with outrageously boorish actions with females in his orbit.
FNC: “As New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo faces mounting sexual misconduct allegations from two female aides, a video has reemerged on social media showing the Democratic governor questionably urged a female reporter to eat an entire sausage sandwich in front of him.” Nope. Not fiction. Both the governor and the reporter have not denied it. The reporter has said she didn’t take offense at Cuomo’s clumsy joke. In this political environment the relatively minor pork-based incident is just another nail in Cuomo’s political coffin. Granted, a tad kinkier than the other allegations. Two of them, when it comes to sexual harassment, take center stage.
“Charlotte Bennett, a low-level aide in the governor’s administration until November, told The New York Times Cuomo asked inappropriate questions about her sex life, including whether she ever had sex with older men, and made other comments she interpreted as gauging her interest in an affair. Her accusation came days after another former aide, Lindsey Boylan, a former deputy secretary for economic development and special adviser to the governor, elaborated on harassment allegations she first made in December. Boylan said Cuomo subjected her to an unwanted kiss and inappropriate comments about her appearance.” Then there’s this.
The video below shows the Democrat governor at the 2016 New York State Fair, urging reporter Beth Cefalu to eat an entire sausage sandwich in front of his leering presence.
“I want to see you eat the whole sausage,” Cuomo told her, as his no doubt mortified daughter Michaela sat quietly next to him. This is the kind of joke he makes in front of his daughter.

“I don’t know if I should eat the whole sausage in front of you, but I’m definitely going to eat it,” Cefalu says. But Cuomo can’t leave the line alone.
“There’s too much sausage in that picture,” Cuomo says, as others crack up around him. Ah New York, land of taste and chivalry. Of subtle sophisticated humor. Come to think of it, they deserve the governor they elected.
