Oh, glorious day.
Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom plans to loosen his stay-at-home orders [1] which could include things such as opening up restaurants and gyms based on what tier different locations fall in.
Biden is now president so the democratic governors like Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer and California’s Gavin Newsom don’t have to suppress the economy anymore.
It’s time to let businesses be businesses again.
Build back better.
Don’t get too excited though. The governors are still lording over businesses with rules and regulations and threats. They need to keep some of their control. But they want to make things appear a little better for Biden.
So it’s time that the democrats allow the little people (us) across the country to possibly dine in a restaurant again (six feet apart with masks at 25% capacity) even though none of the idiot governors who closed the restaurants down had any proof that there was any sort high transmission rate (or any transmission at all) coming from restaurants.
So you ask – What about the high rate of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths that are still happening out in California?
Surely you jest if you think that something like that has anything at all to do with illegal and unconstitutional emergency pandemic orders coming from democratic governors.
No no, my friend.
What’s going on here in California is a few different things but it’s all politics [2].
First of all, as I stated above, they have to get the economy on the upswing for Biden.
Secondly, there’s a little thing out in California going on called a recall. Yes, the little people want to get rid of Governor Newsom and they’re doing a pretty good job gathering the signatures for their recall effort.
There are currently more than 1.2 million signatures gathered of the 1.5 million needed in order for Californians to be able to vote to get rid of him.
More than $1.7 million has been raised to get rid of Newsom and they are well on their way to get the needed signatures by their March 17th deadline so that the issue can be on the ballot in the Fall.
Newsom’s not going to let a little thing like the coronavirus stop his political plans. He wants to stay in office. So that’s pretty much what this new plan of his is all about.
So what if the latest stats on California’s own website show that both cases and deaths have increased 0.9% from the previous day?
So what if the current daily number of cases, hospitalizations and deaths are higher than they were last March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December? I hate to link to the New York Times [3] but take a look at the graphs.
And how is it that Newsom and the media were all freaking out in November when California was averaging 11,500 new cases a day for seven days but today, we have 27,007 new cases in California [4] and apparently it’s fine to open up the state again?
Hmmm..I wonder why.
