The Trump haters probably rolled their eyes and called Trump “unpresidential” when he ended his speech at Joint Base Andrews with the song YMCA, as he always did at his rallies.
It’s an uplifting song and Trump ended his Joint Base Andrews trip on the last day of his presidency on a positive note with the usual cheering and flag-waving.
It’s not surprising that the democrats didn’t understand what he did. They have never understood him. I got it right away.
At his Joint Base Andrews speech, he thanked his staff and family. He even thanked Pence and Congress.
And by playing YMCA, he thanked us – the people – everyone who supports him and have stood by him for four years.
We couldn’t be there but he played the song anyway.
Trump was a different kind of President and that’s why he beat Hillary Clinton (and Biden). He is not of the swamp. He exposed the swamp, including the Republicans.
He was an outsider. A builder. He wanted to put America first and make it great again.
Trump is of the people. And hated strongly for it.
At his inauguration in 2018, he told us he was turning over the government to the people and he meant it.
He said, “We the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people. Together we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years to come.”
And he really pissed off the swamp when he said the following…
“For too long, a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have born the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left and the factories closed. The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs and, while they celebrated in our nation’s capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.
That all changes starting right here and right now because this moment is your moment. It belongs to you. It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America. This is your day. This is your celebration, and this, the United States of America, is your country.
What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people. January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.”
Yes, we were no longer ignored and forgotten.
We were no longer sold out.
We were no longer over-taxed and unprotected.
We were in charge.
The swamp went after him immediately for that.
They actually went after him before he became president because Obama knew how dangerous he would be. All hands on deck resulted in the Russia hoax and much more followed after that.
But Trump would expose them.
Trump would prove that you can lift all boats and have a roaring economy. Trump would prove that America can be successful and that it doesn’t take very long to do it. Trump would prove how incompetent the ruling class is.
The swamp didn’t want their underbelly exposed.
They didn’t want their deals ending and the gravy train stopped.
They didn’t want their corruption and crimes exposed.
They went after Trump and nothing was off limits.
But in the end, even through all the crap, Trump was proud of all we had accomplished together and ended his speech on a positive “note” by thanking us for helping him via The Village People.
He smiled, waved and totally pissed off the left by not stomping his feet and yelling “democrats suck! democrats suck!” and by not crumpling into a little ball of orange fuzz.
As one surprised Twitter-er asked, “That’s the song he’s ending it on?”
Yes, leftist. Get a clue.
It did it for Us.
It’s about America. It’s about Us. It’s always been about Us.
And now with Trump gone, the fun is gone. Humor is gone. America first is gone.
Liberty is gone.
Obama’s back in charge.
Cue the funeral dirge.
