Imagine living in a place where convicted criminals get more rights than you do.
A place where prisoners will get a COVID-19 vaccine before law-abiding and taxpaying citizens.
Yes, that place would be Massachusetts.
The CDC has a recommended roll-out of who should be prioritized to get the vaccines first but they are letting the states make their own decisions.
Massachusetts has decided they will have a three-phased rollout of the Pfizer vaccines and prisoners will be getting their vaccines in phase one along with healthcare workers, police, fire and others on the front lines.
Phase two, after the prisoners get their vaccines, will be teachers and those working in K-12 education and also people with two or more comorbidities.
Hoping to get a vaccine soon? Too bad. You should have robbed your neighbor – then you could have gotten to the front of the line.
Being a good citizen all of your life obviously doesn’t pay any dividends in Massachusetts. The value the state puts on YOUR life isn’t a whole lot – but what do you expect from state-run health care? It’s all about rationing the healthcare as they please. You have no say in the matter.
Yes, you might have the comorbidities of cancer and diabetes, but that’s too bad. You’re just going to have to continue to sit at home and follow the oppressive Massachusetts lockdown orders until further notice. The robbers, rapists and murderers need to get their vaccines first.
And if that’s not bad enough, Massachusetts has also decided to follow the path of granny killing democratic governors Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan and Andrew Cuomo in New York. They’re allowing COVID-19 patients in nursing homes.
The Massachusetts Nursing Home Willow Manor in Lowell announced last week that they’re going to accept patients infected with coronavirus. Marc Lombardo, State Rep., called it “insanity” in his tweet. He pointed out that Massachusetts has already had 7000 deaths in long term care facilities (65% of their total).
Willow Manor is pretending that their “COVID unit” will be able to separate the sick from the rest of the residents and everyone will be safe. Yeah, right. Hasn’t happened so far in the other places that did this.
The families at these facilities must seriously revolt. That’s the only way to stop this insanity. Do a protest. Form a chain to block the entrance of the nursing home. Get arrested. Cause a stink. The lives of your family depend on it.
Darlene Torre has two family members at Willow Manor and said, “I can’t think of a worse idea. This is putting the most vulnerable in harm’s way.”
