Calm down. No, we haven’t won or lost the presidency yet. As LifeZette has been predicting for weeks, no final decision was made last night and the election is headed for the courts.

Speaking of predictions, what did we get wrong and right? We got Arizona wrong, thought it would stay red. We thought there would be more unrest in the streets. We thought Biden would claim victory. All wrong.

On the other hand, we got the presidential race right, we got both the House and Senate right, we got the upcoming court fight right. So, we’re happy with our 2020 race calls.

By the way, we hope that every armchair Atwater out there who predicted a landslide for either candidate will stop feeling and start thinking. Because guess what pals? We were really right and you were really wrong. Ok, that’s my gloating quota for the day.

Where are we now and where do we go from here?

First of all, media estimates are not official. So don’t panic because the media is saying something one way or the other. States certify results. That’s where the actual facts are, not coming from the mouth of anchors. Per the news, Fox was out of their minds last night. They have jumped the shark way to port, aside from Brit Hume. CNN was actually better at analysis and calls last night.

The race seems to stand at a Biden advantage of 238-213. Seems. Lots of moving parts still in play. The outcome, in the numbers and eventually in the courts, is coming down to six states: PA, MI, WI, NV, NC, and Georgia. The president looks solid in Georgia, North Carolina, and PA. The others are problematic, with MI leaning Trump. If that holds up the president would get a thin victory before it goes to the courts. We believe he will win there in the end.

There is no question that the Republicans will hold on to the Senate, maybe hold at 53 or gain one. The Democrats flipped Arizona and Colorado. We flipped Alabama and we may flip Michigan. This is very important for, as we have seen, Supreme Court nominees and as a bulwark against Biden and his socialists if he wins. Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham will continue to outsmart the Democrats there.

The House shows a slight improvement for the GOP and we knocked off some Democrat celebrities like Donna Shalala and Max Rose. Nancy Mace flipped a seat red in South Carolina. We called the slight improvement, handicappers like Cook called for a big Democrat pickup. We’ll let you decide who is better at their job. We’ll update latest news in the late afternoon.
