Phil Collins Divorce Takes Yet Another Nasty Turn As Ex Claims She Can’t Leave Miami Home Because Of Spinal Condition

Earlier this week, we reported [1] that Phil Collins divorce had taken a nasty turn as his ex-wife Orianne Cevey had accused him of being impotent and of not bathing for a year. Now, things have taken a negative turn once again, as Cevey is now claiming that she can’t leave Collins’ Miami home, despite the fact that she has since married somebody else, due to a spinal condition.

Cevey has claimed that she is owed half of Collins’ $40 million mansion in Miami, and is now claiming that she can’t leave it because of a medical condition that had previously been unreported. Court documents obtained by Daily Mail [2] show that Cevey, 46, is claiming that she can’t possibly “disrupt her daily regime and access to special equipment at the luxury waterfront property in Miami Beach or she would become ‘wheelchair bound.'”

However, it has been confirmed that Cevey has taken dozens of trips all over the globe in the past few years, as she has posted photos of herself at exotic locations on social media on numerous occasions.

“Cevey suffered damage to her spinal cord in a routine operation in 2014 after suffering a neck injury in a martial arts exhibition in Paris,” the court papers state. Her lawyers claim that Cevey must now “undergo five hours of physical therapy and training per day, Monday through Saturday … in order to simply maintain her current condition.”

One court document claims that Cevey “undergoes three hours of therapy in the home on various equipment purchased for her therapy needs, and in the home’s swimming pool, and another two hours of therapy at a nearby therapy center.”

“Without this rigorous, and ongoing therapy regimen, which has been part of her daily routine since March, 2015 and is closely monitored by her therapist at a local therapy center, Orianne’s physical condition would rapidly deteriorate and likely result in her becoming wheelchair bound again,” the document continues.

Cevey’s own Instagram [3] page appears to contradict all of this, however, as it seems that she has spent the past six years since her injury flying around the globe, riding bikes, boxing, kayaking, parting on private yachts and even mountain climbing in Switzerland.

Cevey’s website [4] states:

“In 2014, (Ceves) suffered a neck injury after a martial arts exhibition in Paris against Jesse Glover,  Bruce Lee’s first student. After a seemingly straightforward operation, she woke up paralyzed from the neck down due to a medical error. Day-by-day and step-by-step, she fought to regain her ability to walk and three years later, against all odds, she climbed one of the highest mountain ranges in Switzerland, the Breithorn, peaking at 13,661 feet.”

Even with COVID-19 plaguing the world in 2020, Cevey seems to have taken seven trips out of Miami in this year alone. One of these trips came in August, when she flew to Las Vegas to marry her 31 year-old husband Thomas Bates.

A source close to Collins, 69, slammed Cevey, saying, “She is making this big claim in court papers, but she hardly looks like a person in need of daily physical therapy, let alone the kind of therapy that can only be done at Phil’s house. Who claims they can’t leave the house or they’ll be in a wheel-chair and then climbs a mountain?”

Collins and Cevey, who are the parents of two sons, divorced in 2008, at which time she got a massive $45 million settlement. They would go on to reunite in 2016, but they split once again earlier this year after she secretly married Bates.
