New Details Emerge About Lori Loughlin’s Life In Prison After She Begins Two Month Sentence

Yesterday, we reported that former “Full House” star Lori Loughlin had reported to the Federal Correctional Institution, Dublin in California to begin her two month prison sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal. Now, new details about Loughlin’s life in prison are already coming out to the public.

A spokesman for FCI Dublin told Yahoo News [1] that Loughlin received no special treatment because of her celebrity status, which means she is in quarantine due to the coronavirus just like any other inmate would be. Before entering the institution, Loughlin was screened by medical staff for COVID-19, as every other intake is. During this screening, the actress underwent a symptom screen, temperature check and an approved viral PCR test, as per the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) guidelines.

Loughlin was then assigned the Bureau of Prisons number 77827-112, and since there is no indication that she tested positive, she will now be in quarantine for the next fourteen days. This means that she will not be able to see anyone, not even her two daughters, Isabella and Olivia Jade. If Loughlin tests positive at some point in the coming days, she will be placed in medical isolation.

Both Loughlin and her husband, designer Mossimo Giannulli, had been ordered to report to prison on November 19 to begin their respective sentences after pleading guilty to fraud charges related to them paying $500,000 in bribe money to have Isabella and Olivia Jade admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, even though neither girl had ever rowed before. Giannulli was sentenced to five months in prison, and there are no reports that he decided to begin his sentence on Friday as well.

FCI Dublin is the same facility where former “Desperate Housewives” star Felicity Huffman [2] served her fourteen day sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal last year.

When Loughlin is finally out of quarantine, she will need to follow the facility’s rules, which include waking up at 5 a.m. with quiet hours beginning at 9 p.m. The facility’s handbook [3] states that she will have to wear the standard uniform of “khaki pants and blouse with a brown T-shirt underneath which is tucked into the pants.”

Loughlin will have the opportunity to get some outdoor recreation while she’s at FCI Dublin, however.

“Basketball, volleyball, track, softball and tennis facilities are provided,” the handbook says. “Shoes and shirts are required in the recreation area at all times. Indoor recreation exercise equipment will be provided along with board and table games. Special activities may include inter-unit holiday tournaments, bingo and ping-pong.”

Once Loughlin is released from prison, she will have to pay a fine of $150,000 and complete 100 hours of community service. She is hoping to be out by Christmas, but she will definitely be out by the new year, which will allow her to start 2021 with a clean slate.
