If Joe Biden becomes president his people are already talking about a national lockdown that could last two months or longer. This would mean bars, restaurants, and other spaces closing down. It would mean severe restrictions on other locations. It would set the nation back to last spring.
This would ostensibly be done to combat the virus. But it has nothing to do with the virus. This would be executed to make sure the federal government and Democrat governors have control over vital aspects of your personal life. It would be done to intentionally impoverish millions of Americans, making them more dependent on the welfare state and thus more dependent on Democrat welfare state pushers. They also want to use crowd gathering restrictions to, as they refused to do earlier in the year, stop political demonstrations because the upcoming protests would be against them.
A free people can have only one response: defy the lockdown. Governor Tate Reeves of Mississippi has already said his state will not go back to lockdown. Other sensible governors will follow his lead. We must lead from our own communities and refuse this Biden edict if he has a chance to mandate it.
No, we will not murder people and burn down cities, as Democrats and their terrorist allies do. We should just refuse to shut down businesses, refuse to stay at home, refuse to limit crowds. We should march on Washington by the assembled throngs, as is happening today, Saturday, as Trump supporters show their loyalty to the president and the democratic election process. We should be nonviolent, but we should inundate their resources with the administrative nightmare of having to deal with millions of free Americans exercising that most cherished of American liberties: the ability to defy an authoritarian regime that seeks to rule by decree to enhance its own power.
This will likely be the first volley in an ongoing struggle. The Senate and alliances in the House may stop a lot of Biden and hard left nonsense. But he will act through executive order on many issues. Certain of those orders are likely to curtail basic freedoms like freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. We cannot let that stand.
A Democrat advantage is that they think Republicans and conservatives are too well behaved to really take the battle to them and into the streets. And they’re right, to a point. We have job and kids and other factors in our lives that don’t make it very easy to take time off to loot a department store.
However, by just ignoring their edicts, by refusing to play their power hungry games, we can bring their corrupt machine to a halt until we once again begin to dismantle it altogether.
