Amongst various sites for and against the various parties, you have the true believers. Not just those who believe in the ideals of their parties. But those who believe in the success of their parties in an irrational sense.
Almost the entire Democrat Party is both ideologically and practically irrational. On the Republican side of the aisle an example of that irrationality are those who feel the GOP will take back the House.
Yes, it’s only 17 votes there to a majority and we might even pick up a couple to several seats. But when the House has flipped it’s been in rebellion against the status quo in the White House. Against Clinton in 1994, Obama in 2010, and Trump in 2018, to name three. Thus it is possible, if not probable, that the GOP will take back the House in 2022. But not this time.
However, the Red Tsunami types are still around. Remember them? They are the cretins who said, regardless of the evidence, that there would be a giant Republican wave in the House in 2018. Instead, we lost the House. So much for their political acumen. But you can find them on any social media now, predicting another Tsunami in the House and a Trump landslide in the presidential race. Neither will happen and the Republicans will be glad if they can win the White House and retain the Senate. There, the odds are good. They are also tied to the president’s fate.
The outlook for about a dozen competitive Senate contests remains closely tied to President Trump’s standing in the final days of the race, with polls indicating few people plan to split their vote between a Democrat and a Republican.https://t.co/JFMTCLBbXH [1]

With several possibilities for flips either way, when the smoke clears the GOP will keep the Senate at about 53 seats. May pick up one. Democrats had high hopes earlier in the year of flipping the upper chamber. But smart Republican primary voters in Alabama and Kansas put an end to that. The only Republican Senate seat in trouble is Arizona. The incumbent, Senator Martha McSally, who the president has already thrown under the bus, is hurting. But we’ll flip Alabama and maybe Michigan. May even flip Minnesota.
That’s a good thing. Because if Biden wins the Senate will be the main bulwark against the insane policies of the hard leftists who will take over the executive branch. The Senate will be much needed.
