US Embassy Supports NBI Recruitment After Candidates Filed Criminal Complaints

The US Embassy in Tirana has expressed support for the recruitment process for the National Bureau of Investigation officers.

Through a Facebook status, the embassy writes:

“The United States fully supports Albania’s objective and merit-based process of recruiting and selecting the National Bureau of Investigation investigators. These standards of law enforcement of physical and intellectual abilities are essential for BKH to fulfil its mandate. ”

The embassy’s reaction comes after seven of those disqualified from the race for the National Bureau of Investigation have filed criminal charges against the Evaluation Commission that disqualified them from the race.

Some of the disqualified said they noticed a lack of transparency throughout the process
