Police in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma are speaking out this week to say that a man and his girlfriend were brutally beaten simply for driving around with a pro-Trump flag on their truck.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Bricktown area on Monday morning. A witness told KOCO-TV that the couple was attacked after they pulled up at a gas station with a large “Trump 2020” flag attached to the tailgate of their truck.
“The victim stated he and some other people pulled up to a gas pump,” explained Sgt. Megan Morgan of the Oklahoma City Police Department.
She added that there was a group of motorcycle riders at the gas pumps.
“That’s when a verbal altercation ensued between the victim and the suspect,” Morgan said.
Things went downhill quickly after the flag was pulled down from the truck.
“A full altercation ensued where a victim and a second victim got injured,” the police officer continued.
Police said that the victims were beaten so badly that they were left bleeding from their nose, mouth, and both eyes. Friends of the couple even said afterwards that they had to get staples in their heads because of their injuries.
When police arrived on the scene, they found the motorcycle riders to be uncooperative, as they refused to help identify those who carried out the assault. Instead, they offered “the usual anti-police rhetoric.”
Making the situation even more difficult for police was the fact that the clerk at the gas station claimed to officers that the business did not have exterior security cameras. With very little concrete leads to go on, the police have since asked the public for help in getting information pertaining to this case.
With under two weeks to go before the election, political tensions are at an all-time high all over the nation. While the media loves to portray supporters of Donald Trump as violent and deranged, this incident serves as a reminder that oftentimes, triggered liberals are the ones carrying out these politically motivated assaults.
