New York democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo, like Michigan democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer, loves his power over his state.
From the beginning of the pandemic, they both have given strict lockdown orders with no science or medical basis and have acted like tyrants.
They have stopped medical procedures, shut down businesses and ruined lives and families, even killing people in the process, while they pretend what they are doing is to save us all from a virus with a 98% survival rate.
Their word is law, Constitution be damned.
Governor Cuomo recently handed out more restrictions in his state due to a spike in COVID-19 cases. Because of this, religious groups in New York have filed federal lawsuits over Cuomo’s latest edicts that limit attendance at religious gatherings.
King Cuomo said to CNN that everyone has to follow the rules, no matter their religion.
Cuomo pretends to be a great guy by telling everyone he’s ruling over ALL religions. He’s not targeting anyone specificially. He said, “I don’t care if you’re a Roman Catholic, you’re Jewish, you’re Muslim, you’re an atheist, you have to follow the rules of the state, the laws of the state.”
He also said, “We know religious institutions have been a problem.”
No, Cuomo, tyrannical democratic governors have been a problem.
Cuomo’s latest rules are impacting the New York Orthodox Jewish communities especially hard and they aren’t taking things lying down. Just like the racial justice warriors who are out protesting and rioting, this Jewish community has taken to the streets (with no rioting) to protest the closure of schools, businesses and restrictions on their houses of worship.
Community activist Meshy Tischler said to the protesters, “You are my soldiers. We are at war.” He vowed they would have peaceful protests and respect law enforcement.
Cuomo either doesn’t care about or has never actually read the Constitution or seen the amendment pertaining to freedom of speech and religion. The free exercise of religion is so important that it appears in the FIRST amendment. It’s not the 20th or 82nd amendment. It’s not an afterthought.
Quite obviously, King Cuomo has also never taken a history class and learned that religious liberty was one of the main reasons we fought for our freedom, started our own country and came up with the Bill of Rights and the rest of the Constitution.
Because of the Constitution, we have the freedom to worship under ANY circumstance, anywhere we want – even through civil unrest, hurricanes, forest fires, and pandemics. We don’t need the permission of tyrannical governors to worship. There are no asterisks in the Constitution.
In addition to ignoring the Constitution, Cuomo is also a man who has absolutely no moral compass.
He called it “healthy expressions” and “good statements” when criminals were illegally tearing down federal monuments.
He criticized NYPD police officers for using force to restrain rioters and looters instead of denouncing the criminals.
He denies being responsible for thousands of deaths of the elderly in nursing homes by sending COVID-19 patients there.
And now, in another effort to pretend that he knows what he’s doing, Cuomo is going after churches and synagogues.
Brooklyn Catholic Bishop, Nicholas DiMarzio, had something to say about Cuomo’s new edicts as well. He said, ““Catholic Churches in Brooklyn and Queens have not had any COVID outbreaks or significant cases since re-opening on July 5 to 25 percent capacity. We fervently object to being told to further reduce capacity, because we have strictly adhered to COVID-19 protocols, and the safety measures have been working.”
He cites the measures that his church has taken to keep their visitors safe and says, “The religious freedom of our parishioners is being unjustly attacked. It is outrageous that after incurring great expense to implement all the safety protocols, our parishes are being forced to reduce capacity to a maximum of 10 people in the red zone and 25 people in the orange zone”

Cuomo could care less about trivial matters like the Constitution and freedom of religion. He’s on a power high and he’s not about to give up his dictatorship and constant attention from the press.
George Washington said, ““The liberty enjoyed by the people of these States of worshipping Almighty God, agreeable to their consciences, is not only among the choicest of their blessings, but also of their rights.”
