Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) humiliated two-time failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton this week when he described Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation to the Supreme Court as a “wonderful birthday present” for the former Secretary of State.
Clinton turned 73 on Monday, the very same day that Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed to the highest court in the land. During a campaign stop in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky on Wednesday, McConnell rubbed salt in Clinton’s wound by saying the confirmation of the proud conservative was a “wonderful birthday present” for her.
“It was a wonderful birthday present for Hillary Clinton to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court Monday night on her birthday,” McConnell said. “Oh, I’m sure she was so grateful, so grateful.”

This had to have hit Clinton right where it hurts, given the fact that she had taken to twitter on her birthday to rant about how furious she was that Barrett was going to be on the Supreme Court.
“It is an insult to the American people that the GOP is ramming through a Supreme Court justice with just eight days until the end of an election in which nearly 60 million people have already voted,” she tweeted.

Barrett was clearly living rent free in Clinton’s head on her birthday, because she tweeted about her once again later in the day.
“Senate Republicans just pushed through a Supreme Court justice who will help them take away Americans’ health care in the middle of a pandemic,” she tweeted. “For them, this is victory. Vote them out.”

Just minutes before that tweet of Clinton’s went up, the House Judiciary Republicans tweeted, “Amy Coney Barrett, confirmed. Happy Birthday, @HillaryClinton!”

Clinton has never gotten over the fact that she lost to Trump back in 2016. In her mind, she should have been president for the past four years, and she should have had the chance to appoint three radical Democrats to the Supreme Court during her time in the White House.
Thankfully, we don’t live in Hillary Clinton’s world. Instead, we live in a reality where Trump is president, and where he hopefully will remain in the White House for another four years!
