Jessica Mulroney, the Canadian stylist who was once known for being the best friend of Meghan Markle, took to Instagram on Friday to send a brutal message to the “a******s” who ditched her during her white privilege scandal over the summer.
Mulroney posted a photo of herself kissing her husband, Ben Mulroney, along with a caption saying, ‘After a few rough months, something to FINALLY celebrate. Thank you for being by my side Benny.”
“Thank you to our true friends for sticking by us,” she added. “We could have never made it without you. Silver lining: we finally know the a**holes who we thought were our friends . Best gift we could have ever been given. Pardon my Manners.”
Mulroney had been Meghan’s best friend for years before she was accused by social media influencer Sasha Exeter of trying to use her “white privilege” to threaten her back in June. Exeter said she had taken to Instagram that month to share a “generic call to action” on her story urging her followers to speak up in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement. Though she did not single anyone out specifically with the message, Exeter said that Mulroney “took offense,” believing the message was aimed at her.
“Listen, I am by no means calling Jess a racist but what I will say is this: She is very well aware of her wealth, her perceived power and privilege because of the color of her skin,” Exeter said, going on to accuse Mulroney of “textbook white privilege.”
In the wake of this scandal, various sources said that Meghan felt like she had no choice but to cut Mulroney out of her life forever.
“Meghan said friends reflect friends and because of what’s at stake she can no longer be associated with Jessica, at least not in public,” one source said. “She has to do what she has to do in order to preserve her dignity and her own reputation.”
Mulroney, however, has denied that she and Meghan have fallen out.

“I’m going to tell this once and for all. Meghan and I are family. She is the kindest friend and has checked up on me everyday,” Mulroney recently said. “Tabloid culture is atrocious. It creates lies and hurtful storyline. Stop feeding into it. Done.”
