Three months after the tragic death of 27 year-old Benjamin Keough, it has been announced that he has been laid to rest next to his famous grandfather Elvis Presley at Graceland.
Keough’s burial was confirmed on Graceland’s official Facebook page.
“Benjamin Storm Presley Keough was laid to rest in the Meditation Garden at Graceland with his family including his grandfather, Elvis Presley, great-grandmother, Gladys Presley, great-grandfather, Vernon Presley and great-great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley,” the post read.

Page Six reported that Keough, who is the son of Lisa Marie Presley, died back in July of an “intraoral shotgun wound,” according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. His death was officially ruled a suicide.
After Keough’s death, Lisa Marie’s manager Roger Widynowski told PEOPLE that she was “beyond devastated.”
“She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley,” Widynowski said. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”
Lisa Marie had previously talked about how much Keough looked like her late father.
“Ben does look so much like Elvis. He was at the Opry and was the quiet storm behind the stage,” she said back in 2012. “Everybody turned around and looked when he was over there. Everybody was grabbing him for a photo because it is just uncanny.”
Back in 2013, Lisa Marie told the Huffington Post that she was letting her son do “his own thing.”
“He’s doing his own thing right now,” she said. “I’m going to let him decide when he wants to go out and do what he wants to do.”
Keough’s close friend Brandon Howard said after his death that the 27 year-old felt pressure to live up to his family name, adding that he believes this “absolutely” contributed to his suicide.
“It’s a tough thing when you have a lot of pressure with your family and living up to a name and an image. It’s a lot of pressure,” Howard added. “It’s almost like you’re pressured into having to be a musician, having to be an actor. It was good for him to go around the world and discover himself and have his own friends. You never know what triggers it. You never know … It’s so random.”
