Charlie Sheen Breaks His Silence After Death Of ‘Two And A Half Men’ Costar Conchata Ferrell

Yesterday, we reported that the actress Conchata Ferrell, best known for starring as the no-nonsense housekeeper Berta on the sitcom “Two And A Half Men,” had passed away at the age of 77 due to complications following a cardiac arrest. Now, her former “Two And A Half Men” costar Charlie Sheen has broken his silence to pay tribute to her.

“An absolute sweetheart a consummate pro a genuine friend a shocking and painful loss,” Sheen tweeted. “Berta, your housekeeping was a tad suspect, your ‘people’ keeping was perfect.”

“Two And A Half Men” star Jon Cryer paid tribute to Ferrell as well.

“She was a beautiful human Berta’s gruff exterior was an invention of the writers,” he wrote on Twitter. “Chatty’s warmth and vulnerability were her real strengths. I’m crying for the woman I’ll miss, and the joy she brought so many.”

“Two And A Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre released a brief statement to Entertainment Tonight [5] honoring Ferrell after her passing.

“We called her Chatty. And we all loved her,” he said. “Twelve years of highs and lows, and lots and lots of laughter. Through it all she was a rock. One of the greats. I was privileged to call her a friend.”

Judith Moss, Ferrell’s longtime agent, released a statement about her as well.

“Her work and being in front of an audience was always her joy. Conchata’s talent, laughter and smart, quick wit that she brought to her characters and her life will be greatly missed,” Moss said. “The entertainment and energy she created will always be treasured by all of her loyal fans.”

Tributes for Ferrell have been pouring in from other celebrities as well.

“Rest In Peace Conchata Ferrell,” tweeted “Brady Bunch” star Maureen McCormick. “I love you and feel so blessed to have worked with such a talented, beautiful, kind, generous and lovely lady. Sending all my heartfelt condolences to your family.”

“RIP. Great lady,” Adam Sandler wrote on Twitter. “Will be missed terribly. So sorry to her family.”

Ferrell is survived by her beloved husband, Arnie Anderson, as well as by one daughter, two stepdaughters, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
