Biden Says Voters Don’t Deserve To Know About Court Packing Stance

While Donald Trump might not be the most admired president, he is certainly one of the most transparent. Through speeches, interviews, and tweets, Trump always says what’s on his mind. As for his counterpart Joe Biden, he can’t even answer the simplest of questions as witnessed during an interview on Friday. When discussing the controversial “Court Packing”, the Democratic nominee sidestepped the question saying people didn’t deserve to know.

During an interview in Las Vegas, Nevada, Joe Biden seemed to be caught off guard when a reporter asked him to discuss his stance on court-packing. Over the years of service Biden has given to the Democrats, he has taken a stance not to promote court-packing, with the most recent being in the primaries. But Biden has been taken another approach as more and more Democrats are in favor of court-packing if Trump decides to confirm Barrett to the Supreme Court Justice.

As for court-packing, the term was coined back in 1937 when President Franklin D. Roosevelt tried packing the court with extra justices to force parts of his New Deal on the American people. The deal was ultimately deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court but the tactic has remained on the sidelines for decades.

Not knowing where the presidential hopeful stood on the issue, KTNV reporter Ross DiMattei gave Biden the chance to clear the air. Instead, Biden responded, “you’ll know my position on court-packing the day after the election.”

Wanting to know more, DiMattei pushed the Democrat on the issue saying, “Well, sir don’t the voters deserve to know…?”

Biden’s response is everything a voter needs when stepping in the election booth on November 3rd. He responded, “No they don’t…. I’m not gonna play his game, he’d love me to talk about, and I’ve already said something on court-packing, he’d love that to be the discussion instead of what he’s doing now.” While Biden didn’t clarify who “he” was, we can only speculate he was referring to Trump.

With Republicans holding majority of the Senate, there is little the Democrats can do to stop President Trump from confirming Barrett. While it is always the role of a president to fill a vacant seat, the Democrats believe President Trump should wait until after the election to hold the hearings. They hope Biden will win the election and therefore have the power to elect a pro-Democrat to the Supreme Court.
