Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a credit to the Court.
I disagreed with many of her decisions but they were all well reasoned and well argued.
She was a close friend of her ideological opposite, Justice Scalia.
They both loved opera, law and the U.S.A.
May She Rest In Peace

From CNN [3]:
Ginsburg was appointed in 1993 by President Bill Clinton and in recent years served as the most senior member of the court’s liberal wing consistently delivering progressive votes on the most divisive social issues of the day, including abortion rights, same-sex marriage, voting rights, immigration, health care and affirmative action.
Ginsburg suffered several cancer scares–most recently in early 2020, when a biopsy revealed lesions on her liver. She was undergoing chemotherapy at the time, which her staff said was yielding “positive results.”
Ginsburg was considered a moderate when she was appointed by Bill Clinton, but became more progressive during her time on the bench. She became the high courts leading liberal, although she was famously best friends with the high court’s leading conservative: Justice Antonin Scalia. Scalia and Ginsburg were an unusual pair, and bonded over their common love of opera.
Ginsburg spent the early part of her career as a legal pioneer, embarking on a legal crusade for gender equality as an attorney in the 1970s. During the last decade of her life, Ginsburg became somewhat of a pop culture figure–particularly among millennials, who affectionately referred to her as the “Notorious RBG.” She is the subject of several documentaries.
Following the news of Ginsburg’s passing, left-wingers are already trying to block Trump from appointing a replacement on the Court.
I’m so sorry to learn that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed away. She was a tireless advocate for women’s rights and progressive causes throughout her life.
The Senate must not be allowed to replace her until the next president is sworn into office.
