Have you heard about the execution of five-year-old Cannon Hinnan in North Carolina on Sunday?
Chances are that you haven’t.
The five-year-old white boy was shot at point-blank range in front of his two sisters, ages seven and eight, by his black neighbor, 25-year-old Darius Sessoms.
According to his Connor’s family, the five-year-old had been riding his bike outside of his home when he was shot.
Neighbor Doris Labrant witnessed the shooting and told WRAL that she saw Sessoms run up to the young boy, put the gun to his head and fire. She said, “My first reaction was he’s playing with the kids. For a second, I thought, ‘that couldn’t happen. People don’t run across the street and kill kids.’”
Darius Sessoms, who lived next door to the Hinnans, had dinner with Connor’s father on Friday and had been inside their house earlier in the day on Sunday. The family has known the suspect for years.
Sessoms was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Services Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force, Goldsboro police and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and was charged with first-degree murder, held without bail.
Sessoms has a previous conviction of felony larceny of firearms in 2016, a misdemeanor in 2016 for maintaining a place for controlled substances and also a felony marijuana possession charge in 2016. He also has two pending counts of felony maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance.
Why is this happening in America?
There are many reasons.
There have always been – and always be – sick people in the world. But lately, there is more crime and violence than ever because there are no consequences. Police are standing down. Crimes are not investigated and prosecuted.
There is a breakdown of our civil society because laws aren’t being enforced. People are taking what they want from others and doing what they want.
The criminals who actually go to jail for crimes are out in 24 hours most of the time thanks to democratic policies.
And the media’s chosen “victims” to cover is despicable. They decide whose lives are important, who gets attention, who matters. And based on the lack of coverage about this little boy’s death, white children obviously don’t matter to the leftist media.
Although, to be fair, black children don’t matter to them either – as evidenced by their lack of caring about the shootings in Chicago.
