This was supposed to be a home game for CNN as their headquarters is based in Atlanta, but that was not the case.
I thought CNN thought that all protests were “peaceful” this doesn’t seem to fit their twisted narrative too well. Are these CNN reporters going to squeal to the same Police for help that they support “defunding.” Oh, the irony of this situation is too funny.
I wish I could feel badly about a CNN crew getting beat up by the rioters that their organization encourages, but it seems they’re reaping the whirlwind that they helped create.
There are hazards to the job, especially during violent, any physical protesting. If CNN thought they were made of Teflon, they are wrong. Just a couple of weeks ago, a CNN reporter was arrested for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and they cried foul on that too. Get it together, people.
By the way, Why does the CNN headquarters have a chain-link fence all around and guarded by the National Guard? Are they still afraid of the mostly peaceful protesters?
Here’s a little background on why CNN was at the Wendys:
[USA Today] According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Brooks, 27, was shot by an officer while fleeing during a struggle at a Wendy’s drive-thru late Friday. Brooks had been asleep in his car at the drive-thru, causing other customers to drive around the car, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.
Police were dispatched to the Wendy’s around 10:30 p.m., and conducted a sobriety test on Brooks, who failed the test, according to the officials.
“During the arrest, the male subject resisted and a struggle ensued,” the Bureau of Investigation said. “The officer deployed a Taser. Witnesses report that during the struggle the male subject grabbed and was in possession of the Taser. It has also been reported that the male subject was shot by an officer in the struggle over the Taser.”
One officer was treated for an injury and discharged after the confrontation. Brooks died in the hospital after surgery.

Police have to be able to enforce laws somehow. But politicians and society need to decide how important it is that the laws that they make are followed. Like if someone completely refuses to comply, what happens next?
If you can’t force someone to comply, what is the point of having the laws?
Just watched and heard the President of the NAACP say that Police must learn to respect African Americans. If he wants to be helpful, he should have finished that statement with and the community needs to respect the police. It’s a two-way street.
You have to comply with the police officer. You shouldn’t resist arrest. Fight it out later and you’ll be better for it. Doesn’t anyone get this?
If you commit a crime and then fight with law enforcement officers who are RIGHTFULLY trying to arrest you, then you have earned what you get.
