I often say that we have the worst celebrity class – and we do. The majority of these so-called “celebs” are entitled, privileged, smug, insecure narcissists. However, there’s always an exception to every rule and in this case that exception is Matthew McConaughey.
If all celebrities could behave like this guy, the world would be a better place.
For Matthew, it’s not about politics or attention. He’s using his money and resources to help the people that everyone else has forgotten or doesn’t care about – the rural people working in hospitals and living in assisted living facilities.
Instead of insulting or bullying Americans on Twitter or in coordinated videos, McConaughey, 50, has actually been helping people. The actor has been driving through rural parts of Texas in a pickup truck filled with boxes of face masks that he has been delivering to hospitals, The Blaze reported.
McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves posted about their excursion on Facebook and included a photo of the couple in their large Lincoln truck with boxes of personal protective equipment. The pair can be seen wearing face masks in the photo as well.
But it’s not just about masks. McConaughey has also been tending to the elderly in assisted living facilities and hosting virtual BINGO games for them.
He’s also visited fire stations as well.
In addition, McConaughey also streamed a live commencement speech for the Class of 2020 on “Good Morning America.”

The foundation that McConaughey heads up was named after his personal life motto, “Just Keep Livin’,” and it seeks to help high school students by providing them with tools to lead active and healthy lives.
His foundation recently posted a video urging Americans not to engage in petty politics during the coronavirus pandemic, and to support one another in a united front.
We need more celebrities like Matthew.
