Brad Pitt is known for being one of the most sought-after A-list actors in Hollywood, but in real life, he’s just a regular dad who loves his kids. This was shown once again this weekend, when a source close to Pitt revealed that the Academy-Award winner has high hopes of celebrating his daughter Shiloh’s 14th birthday later this month with all his children under one roof.
Pitt, 56, reportedly wants to celebrate Shiloh’s birthday at his “compound” with all of his children: Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11. The kids will also have another celebration at the house of their mother, actress Angelina Jolie.
“She’ll have a separate celebration at her mom’s, [but] Brad would be delighted to have all his kids over for the party,” a source told UsWeekly [1]. “Brad plans to organize a lot of fun stuff at his compound, like outdoor games and other surprises.”
The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood [2] actor has already told his parents, Bill and Jane Pitt, to send birthday gifts for Shiloh, who goes by the name John. The source added that Shiloh’s siblings are getting in on the action by making her a cake.
The family has a history of going all-out for Shiloh’s birthday. Last year, they celebrated it with an escape room party for Shiloh’s siblings and friends at The Basement LA.
“All of Jolie’s children as well as a group of friends attended the birthday party and spent hours going through the immersive escape rooms eating custom birthday cakes and watching performances from a magician,” a source told Us Weekly [3] at the time. “Everyone was in good spirits. The groups escaped all four of the escape rooms: The Basement, The Elevator Shaft, The Study and The Courtyard.”
“They paid to shut down the place for four hours and have full run of the facility. … The Basement LA has an in-house magician named Micah Cover from the Magic Castle that guests can hire for private parties, as well as catering options,” a second insider added. “The Jolie group purchased all of these add-ons as well as souvenir shirts. The Basement LA also offers a ping-pong table, Nintendo Switch and board games, which the kids (and some of the adults) made heavy use of in between their games.”
Pitt and Jolie’s divorce, which has been ongoing for three years and has yet to be finalized, has gotten nasty at times. However, sources say that they have been working hard at being kinder to one another for the sake of their children.
“Things between Brad and Angelina are better than they have been,” a source said [4] this past week. “They’re more cordial—they’re aiming toward resolutions that work for each of them.”
