The media has largely struggled with how to report on allegations of sexual assault against Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Tara Reade, who was a staffer for Biden while he was a senator in 1993, claims that he “digitally penetrated.” According to the Washington Free Beacon, as-of Tuesday Biden had done 19 television interviews spanning nearly 4 hours since Reade came forward with her allegations. Not one of the 142 questions he was asked was about the controversy.

But this week, as the claims received more corroboration, media outlets are finally starting to cover the story.

Last night MSBNC host Chris Hayes covered the allegations against Biden.

Liberal viewers were quick to pile on Hayes for choosing to cover the story.

Many on the right have been comparing the way left-wingers treated Reade’s accusations to the way they treated Christine Ford’s accusations in 2018 against then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Ford’s decades-old, uncorroborated claims that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her got wall-to-wall coverage, while many on the left touted that they “believe women.”

Now that Reade has come forward with her own accusations, which have been corroborated by five individuals and a CNN appearance by her own mother in 1993, those same leftists are more quick to doubt allegations of sexual assault.
