The media has largely struggled with how to report on allegations of sexual assault against Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
Tara Reade, who was a staffer for Biden while he was a senator in 1993, claims that he “digitally penetrated.” According to the Washington Free Beacon, as-of Tuesday Biden had done 19 television interviews spanning nearly 4 hours since Reade came forward with her allegations. Not one of the 142 questions he was asked was about the controversy.
But this week, as the claims received more corroboration, media outlets are finally starting to cover the story.
Last night MSBNC host Chris Hayes covered the allegations against Biden.

Liberal viewers were quick to pile on Hayes for choosing to cover the story.
Chris Hayes is such a Bernie twit, holding true to form. He helped usher in Trump with Hillary hate and is pulling the same shit once again https://t.co/pTGCi1JseC

What Chris Hayes did today is no different than what Tucker Carlson does everyday. He gave credibility to a bullshit story with no legs to stand on.
This is “but her emails” all over again.

Chris hayes must have really fukd up today because I’m seeing fire and brimstone being thrown in his direction all over social media. I’ve said for a long time that @msnbc needs to FIRE Chris Hayes. He is toxic to everyone not named Bernie Sanders. @allinwithchris @chrislhayes

Oh here comes Chris Hayes telling us that we can’t believe Joe Biden just because we like him! Hey Chris! We believe Joe Biden because the story is not credible. I am a smart woman, and I don’t need you to lecture me on my critical thinking skills. @chrislhayes #inners

Chris Hayes & Ari Melber are hammering the Biden allegation story. The voters rejected Magic Grandpa so they’ve taken to help reelect Trump.

Knew Chris Hayes was going to have Rebecca Traister on. They’ll cry all day and night about Trump and then they pull this bullshit. Hayes is giving this garbage credibility. They want Trump. They’re jobs depend on him.
People are literally dying, Hayes is trash.#inners

Just wanna put this out there.
I unfollowed Chris Hayes.
And I’d love to see everyone else unfollow the mfer as well.

Chris Hayes completely misrepresented the Joe Biden / Tara Reade story tonight. Hayes ignored that she keeps changing her entire story. He falsely claimed that she has contemporaneous corroboration. He left out her connection to Putin. Hayes is a worthless Bernie Bro. Cancel him.

Many on the right have been comparing the way left-wingers treated Reade’s accusations to the way they treated Christine Ford’s accusations in 2018 against then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Ford’s decades-old, uncorroborated claims that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her got wall-to-wall coverage, while many on the left touted that they “believe women.”
Now that Reade has come forward with her own accusations, which have been corroborated by five individuals and a CNN appearance by her own mother in 1993, those same leftists are more quick to doubt allegations of sexual assault.
