Battle Creek, Michigan police are seeking the arrest of a 48-year-old man they believe beat an older friend, who allegedly mocked the man’s coronavirus face mask.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports the victim told cops “he was assaulted when he made fun of the makeshift mask the suspect was wearing.

According to the victim, he was in his house “when the suspect came to his home wearing thong underwear over his face, apparently as protection from the coronavirus.”

The victim thought the “mask” looked familiar: “The victim told the suspect it looked like the thongs laying around the victim’s house, which upset the suspect.”

The man returned to the friend’s house, whereby he hit him in the head “and then they wrestled and the victim fell to the floor and said he was kicked in the ribs.”

So far, police have not been able to locate the suspect.
