Archived footage has been released by the Kremlin of Vladimir Putin’s visit to the Texas White House from Nov. 13-15, 2001. The footage shows an amicable relationship which led to arms control agreements between the two leaders.

“During the summit, President Bush said that their personal friendship and contribution to the development of Russian-American relations would live longer than their terms in office,” the Kremlin said at the time, reported The Moscow Times.
