A bombshell new book about Melania Trump has made a series of surprising claims about the notoriously private First Lady, including that she has been engaged in a longterm feud with her stepdaughter, Ivanka Trump.
Daily Mail reported that in her new unauthorized biographer called “Free, Melania,” CNN reporter Kate Bennett claims that Melania feels that Ivanka has been moving in on her turf because her stepdaughter’s portfolio, which includes women’s issues and overseas trips to promote her causes, is far too similar to things that are typically done by a First Lady.
“The trips were, according to a source, too close for comfort for Melania, who thought Ivanka was invading her turf,” Bennett wrote, referring to the frequent trips Ivanka has taken abroad.
Bennett wrote that she firmly believes that Melania’s infamous “I really don’t care do u jacket,” which she wore during a June of 2018 trip to the Texas border, was meant to be a jab at Ivanka.
“I believed, and still do, that the jacket was a facetious jab at Ivanka and her near-constant attempts to attach herself for positive administration talking points,” Bennett wrote.
Bennett also claims that Melania and her husband President Donald Trump not only don’t sleep in the same room, but also on different floors. While the president sleeps on the second floor of the White House, Melania has her own suite on the third floor that was previously occupied by Michelle Obama’s mother, Marian Robinson.
Melania also has her very own “glam room,” where she does her hair and makeup, and a private gym with a Pilates machine, the book claims.
In addition, Bennett goes into detail about the heath scare Melania suffered in May of 2018, when she underwent a kidney procedure that forced her to be hospitalized for a week and spend over 20 days out of public sight recovering.
At the time, the White House said that Melania “underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition.” However, Bennett claims that friends of Melania said that they were afraid that she would lose a kidney.
“Melania’s medical procedure was indeed not minor — and that an embolization of a growth of some sort, small or large, when attached to the kidney, as hers might have been, made for a dangerous and complicated procedure,” the book states. “Couple that with the amount of pain she had apparently been in, according to close friends, and how long she had been in pain prior to the surgery, and there was concern that if her recuperation was not careful and extended, her type of condition could possibly result in the loss of her kidney.”
“Free, Melania” will be out in stores on Tuesday.
