5.) Indigenous Peoples Day.
With political correctness in mind, each year the country celebrates the newly transformed Columbus Day — known now as Indigenous Peoples Day. We no longer celebrate colonialism but instead use this as an opportunity to reveal the struggles indigenous peoples have faced through oppression and genocide.
